Camping

There are two instincts that lead people to camping: the desire for freedom and a return to nature. Croatia, as a country of high safety, stunning natural surroundings and numerous camps, ideally fulfils these wishes!

Camps vary in size from large camp-settlements with various kinds of infrastructure and free-time content, to a large number of small camps of which there are some 300, mostly in Dalmatia, situated in the gardens and yards of private owners.

In those small camps most of the camping is done with personal equipment. They are open from May to October.

Camping in this region means:

- mild mediterranean climate, pleasant warm summer and mild spring and autumn

- the coast is beautiful with bays, beaches, pine woods and perfect small littoral villages

- beautiful sea, sandy beaches, possibility to practice all water sports and to enjoy a sea taylor-made for swimming, without big waves and tides and the magic world of Islands

- healthy food with fish, olive oil, vegetables, praised wines prevailing...


Croatia is the mere camping destination: quite a third of all visitors to Croatia are campers, Croatian campings are various, safe and friendly, situated on the most beautiful locations and directly to the sea, offering freedom and a real contact with nature.
